Calling all you sneaky StageSider’s, welcome back to another favourite friday. I hope you are all well and staying safe. This favourite friday I wanted to know, what your favourite Murder Mystery play is.
What is my favourite Murdery Mystery?
I think, personally, I would have to say the good old classic The Mousetrap. This Agatha Christie Murder Mystery is over 50 years old and I have seen the show 3 or 4 times. Although the plot remains the same, I find that the change in cast is enough to provide me with a new show each time I see it.
Do I love the show, and am I a hard core fan? Sadly not. I don’t mind seeing the show and would choose to book it again if I felt the urge, but I wouldn’t class myself a fan of the genre let alone a specific play. I find the reliance on suspense to be a bit boring, compared to other shows, in other genres, that grab my attention and keep it grasped tightly. For me, a murder mystery is more of an event. I would go with my family or friends but I don’t think I would go just on my own to see the show time and time again. And I am sure there are people that would do that but, sadly, that’s just not me.
