Latest News, Reviews and Articles in Darlington
Navigating Our Posts
Explore the most recent reviews, news and articles from productions performed across the town’s venues, including standout touring shows, family favourites, and one-night specials.
Posts marked “Review” are reviews of the show included in the title. In reviews we talk about the experience of seeing the show. So the cast, costume, staging, technology used, any dancing, vocals etc. We also talk about ticket pricing and accessibility notices.
Posts marked “News” would include cast announcements, tour announcements or syndicated interviews distributed by the venue or touring company.
Posts marked “StageSide Stories” are our own in house interviews, where we give you a glimpse behind the curtain at how theatre is made. We talk to directors, actors, costume designers, set designers, writers and even wrestlers… yes you read that right.
We want to be transparent with you, and so we mark our reviews with AD if the venue, company or a marketing agent have sent us to see the show. This usually means we are invited to see the show for free, discounted rate or we get other exclusives. We always include a disclaimer in the post too, and never let the “free ticket” or “discount” sway our opinion. We do not gain any money or financial transaction for reviewing a show.
