Welcome back to StageSideUK for another ‘Would you Rather’.
This time I want to know more about your theatre visit. Would you rather sit at the front, in the middle or at the back of the theatre?
For me, I would rather sit at the back or middle. I don’t mind sitting up front but some stages are quite high and so I have to look up. After a while my neck aches, I know… I am an old man.
If I am in the middle section, I am more comfortable. Plus, I feel part of a community.
If I sit at the back, I find the sound is at a low level. Again, old man alert, I can enjoy the piece more with a lower volume. (I think I have superhuman hearing or something).
Of course this doesn’t apply to all shows. If I am seeing an upbeat musical… I want the volume so loud I will be bouncing in my seat.
