Hey hey everybody! How are we all doing today? I hope you are all well and staying safe. This wondering wednesday I was just wondering, is a night at the theatre a big event for you or is it just entertainment.
I don’t mean to start a discussion about class systems etc, I am really interested in whether theatre is just another form of entertainment or is it an attraction?
To me, especially after the last year of lockdowns, I think theatre will become more of an attraction and something that is a once in a while thing. As I have said in previous posts, I used to attend the theatre relatively often and so I would see it as a form of entertainment. And this wasn’t because I had money or anything, I barely scraped by, but instead of going out for dinner or to the club, I would sit in a theatre watching whatever was on that night. But now I think that we have not been for so long that it may be a bit of a treat and something that attracts everyone, not just the theatre lovers out there.
What do you guys think? Is theatre an event, or attraction, to you or is it a form of entertainment? Let me know in the comments section and let’s get a discussion going.
