Hey guys,

So today I thought I would give you a little bit of insight into how this site is going to work / run this year.

As some of you may have noticed, the posts that have been posted so far are a little bit short – maybe a 10 minute read at maximum. I have decided to keep the posts short for a few reasons:

  • To allow you to read them when you’re on break at work, when you get a minute during childcare, etc.
  • So the information in the posts isn’t vague and a load of waffle, more focused and less nonsense.
  • So there is more room for discussion and conversation.

The longer posts will be put on the articles section of the site, and of course please do take part in the conversations going on over there too. The articles page will be full of academic arguments, conversations about academic conventions and some deep dives into larger topics.

Any other post, a review or a discussion post, will be short in length but I really encourage you to engage in discussions. Get your opinion out there. If you have been to see a show that has been reviewed, then post a comment on it with your views. Even if it’s months after the post was published. Maybe the review will get you to watch something, or maybe it puts you off. If either happens, let me know in the comments section.

The overall aim for this site is to create a hub for people who love theatre, acting, technical theatre, costume, set design or any other element of theatre. The more conversations that happen, the better.

Let’s get chatting about the thing we all love, theatre.

Jonathan
