Hello everyone! Welcome back to StageSideUK for another would you rather.
Would you rather go to the theatre after a fun day out, or as a stand alone event?
For me, it would have to be going to the theatre as a stand alone event. I love doing things, seeing things and trying new activities, but I also like to throw myself into them. If I was to have a day full of activities and then watch a show, I will probably be thinking about the activities. However, I guess it would depend on what I was to see. If I was going to see something like Agatha Christie’s Mousetrap and the activity in the day was afternoon tea, maybe it would be quite fitting. But if I was to see the same show after a day of mini golf, cocktails and a dance lesson, I may feel a bit like a yoyo (up and down all day).
So for me, theatre would be a stand alone event, unless the activities in the day fit in with the themes or energy of the piece I would be seeing later that day.
What do you think? Would you rather go to the theatre after a day full of activities, or as a stand alone event?
