Calling all StageSider’s, welcome back to another Wondering Wednesday. This Wondering Wednesday, I was wondering, what is your favourite political play? This can be anything with a political message, political commentary, any sort of political agenda really.
For this, I can’t really think of an answer. I have seen animal farm and I guess this has political undertones. If Animal Farm counts then that will be my answer.
The set, the costumes, the puppetry, the whole show… it was just fantastic. I saw it at the Newcastle Theatre Royal this year (2022) and it was just amazing. It has gone on to tour the UK and it has received amazing reviews. It really is one to see, if you get the chance.
But as far as heavily political pieces, I can’t think of anything I have seen that has a direct route to politics. I don’t really consume that much politics / political content. So I am turning to you, to give me some suggestions of things to see. Musical, Play, Radio play, I am really interested in finding some new things to experience and hope that you will leave your suggestions in the comments section.
